Team Pleatco 2012
DLITE was the theme for the TEAM PLEATCO 2012 who for the first time ever entered the annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. This was a 5K running event that circled beautiful CENTRAL PARK in the heart of NYC. Although it down poured with rained throughout the day, the skies opened up to heavenly sunshine the moment the race started creating a wonderland landscape for the 18,000 plus runners to compete in.
The Pleatco team comprised of Senior Management right through the ranks to new junior trainees. The team made up of 10 members also had an amazing array of cultures represented from the USA, Australia, Puerto Rico, India, Russia, South Africa and... Texas. The team organizer, and natural born athlete, Kelsey Walker (Age 22), crossed the line with an astonishing time close to the 25 minute mark. Equally impressive was the time of the team leader John Antretter, CCO (age 48) who blitzed the course at around 27.30 minutes. Due to NYC traffic the rest of the team was meant to start together but were dissipated across the crowd and delegated to the very back of the runners.
The video highlights three runners. Carl Hubbernak CFO, Valerie Lartchenko Junior Management Trainee from Fordham University and Bat Remati, VP Marketing. The HEART of the team and the main running engine was comprised of Mary Bethray, Production Manager, Michel Badura, Customer Service / Shipping, Lou Torris, Snr. Manufacturing Manager, Wellington Lantigua, IT / Finance Dept, and Karamjit (Rocky) Singh, Junior Management Trainee. The end result of the event was great friendships, stories and some footage and photos which we can share with you in this video. Enjoy.
