This video, presented by John Antretter (CCO, Pleatco) was recorded at the 2011 PSP Expo in Las Vegas, where Pleatco presented their theme of LEADERSHIP in the SCIENCE OF FILTRATION to the industry. The Pleatco booth was designed to be an 'interactive science museum', with interactive displays and live testing performed throughout the show by Pleatco's engineers and staff. This video presents and explains the NEW PLEATCO DUAL CORE (Advanced FIltration System).

PLEATCO DUAL CORE (Advanced Filtration System)

Cartridge filtration is used to purify raw materials used in the production of pharmaceuticals and other high-technology applications. The pool and spa
industry has used the same filtration media and cartridge design for over 20 years. It’s only logical a better solution for pool and spa filtration needed to be
discovered. Pleatco’s scientists have found the answer.

•Pleatco’s Advanced Filtration System (AFS) filters have been engineered in Pleatco’s state-of-the-art research facility.
• Advanced Filtration filter cartridges provide DE cleanliness without all the mess and waste of backwashing.
• No cartridge filter sold by any other company does a better job of cleaning water.
• Pleatco’s Dual Core Filters use two filtration medias to clean water to the highest level possible in today’s market.
• A filter cartridge can’t use two filtration medias without having a properly engineered Free Flow Core designed to maximize flow. Drilled PVC cores DON’T WORK.
• Without reducing the life of the filter, the outer layer of traditional media works as a pre-filter to catch the largest particles, enabling the inner layer of proprietary, depth-loading media to filter down to 3 microns.
