INDUSTRY NOMINATION -  If you work with or do business with a pool/spa technician or someone who works in the industry you can make a nomination on their behalf by selecting this category link at the top of the page. If your candidate wins the contest you win $1,000 of Pleatco Product.

Nominees Location?
The contest is open to US Residents as well as all  international entries. If an international entry wins then it is understood that the airfare from the origin country to the US will be paid by the nominee.

Once all nominations are in by  late September - Voting commences  September 15 and finishes September 30th. All the nominations are placed up on the Pleatco Website and the public may vote on the candidates entry. One vote per valid email is allowed. Those with the greatest number of votes then fall into the top 20 Finalists category. VOTING constitutes 50% of the final mark.

Finalist?
There are 20 FINALISTS chosen from the NOMINATIONS. These are selected on number of VOTES and quality of ENTRY by a panel of judges from the sponsors. Out of these FINALIST the eventual category winners and POOL GUY and POOLGAL will be picked.

Awards Dinner & Ceremony?
The winners will and attend an Award presentation GALA DINNER and guest of honor in Pleatco Booth at International Pool, Spa and Patio Expo plus be the Honored Guest at the prestigious Awards Ceremony Dinner Function.

Marketing exposure
The winners will star in Pleatco's nationwide follow-on ad campaign. Commences November 2012.

We urge Nominees to create a short VIDEO. We are looking for a two-minute “imaginative” video showing why you or your nominee should be the Pleatco Perfect Pool Guy™.

The Pleatco Questionnaire MUST be filled in to complete the nomination.

Deadlines
All entries MUST be in no later than  September 5th 2013. Voting commences  September 7th 2013 and finishes October 7th 2013.

Canvassing  Votes
We urge nominees to canvass as many votes as possible. However any false or duplicate email addresses submitted will be removed from the tally. Likewise if any robotic voting is found to take place the NOMINEE is instantly disqualified.

Dates
Pleatco hold the rights to change prizes and dates without prior notice.
Contest commences MAY 17th 2013. Nominations close  September 5th 2013. Voting opens  September 7th 2013 and closes October 7th 2013. Finalist are contacted and interviewed by Pleatco Between October 8th - 15th. The Winners are announced October  on the Pleatco Website and awarded the prizes at the International Pool, Spa & Patio Expo 2013 in Las Vegas, November 12th 2013.

Prizes
Pleatco retains the rights to change prizes and dates without prior notice.Prizes from third party sponsors are the sole responsibility of the third party provider. No CASH prizes are awarded in this contest. Pleatco will give the winners a credit against the Filtration Cartridge prizes.

The Pleatco Perfect Pool Guy & Gal Contest originated (was founded) in 2008 when the new owners of Pleatco thought it would be a fun contest.  In fact, the contest was originally expected to be a bit “goofy.” WELL, that belief was FAR from reality.  What started out as a “light-hearted” contest quickly turned into a serious nation-wide event which is now a North American event.  While some entries were incredibly funny, most of the entries were submitted by loyal customers who truly appreciated the commitment to service at the highest level by their “Guy.”  A sampling of entries makes the point obvious….
